I have recently finished my PhD at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand, and I have just joined the faculty in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.

I enjoy dancing, snorkeling, SCUBA, hiking (called ‘tramping’ in New Zealand), and meeting new people. I also like travel, cats, dogs, photography, movies, jewelry, good public transport, vegetarian food, and anything to do with the ocean (especially the Pacific). I can’t (or at least don’t want to) imagine life without music. Or laughter.
